It's almost forty years ago now, when we got the opportunity to offer local motorists a stylish and reliable range of motor cars, in the days when the quality of build left much to be desired. We also wanted a relationship with a manufacturer who would work to improve everything they did in engineering terms, and latterly from an environmental point of view.
Even in the seventies, Honda had a vision of what their company would represent in the future. Innovation, useful technology and the highest quality product at an affordable price. They shared our vision of the type of business we wanted to develop along with our many long serving and local members of staff.
We're happy to say we made the right choice of partner.
Our family’s connection with the motor business goes right back to the early years of the last century, when the coachwork was built on a bare chassis, pre mass production.
After holding a well-known maker’s franchise in the family since 1911, Jimmy Gordon senior set up on his own accord in premises near the old Burnden Park in Manchester Road Bolton in 1952.
We’re proud to have been Honda retailers now for 39 years, we’ve expanded into Wigan with Honda, and the two sons of Mr Gordon have been joined in the business by Lucy Gordon, she being the fifth generation since those early days mentioned above.
